A couple of years ago, a friend told me about a court ruling in around 2009-2011 regarding an android app that illegaly collected (stealed) information about their users. I was sent some links and they looked legit back then (ca 2015).
The thing is, that the developers of that particular android app, is the same people that founded discord. And for some reason, I am now totally unable to find information about that online anymore. And this can have two explanations:
1. The information was false
2. Discord is really good with lobbying and got those links removed.
So, do you know anything about this?

I know that the privacy policy is already very bad (https://discord.com/privacy), just skimmed it through.
If you as a discord user has'nt read this, I really recommend that you should. You should not be suprised if they know more about you, than even facebook does - and that is really saying something.

back to top@jonathan open source maintainers: don’t require your contributors and community members to agree to this.
You’re in open source and you know the FOSS tools that exist to cover ‘chat’: IRC rooms, XMPP MUCs, Matrix rooms. Bridge only if you must, and if you bridge make the primary option an open source one.
